No. Each of our four services is available independently. You can engage Envigilance for Buildings Compliance support without any monitoring equipment. You can pursue ENERGY STAR Certification using your existing utility bills as the data source. You can work with us to identify and capture utility incentives without deploying sensors. Monitoring enhances all of these services by providing richer data, but it is never a prerequisite. We start wherever you need us most.

We guarantee a minimum 10% reduction in energy consumption within 12 months of deploying energy monitoring, or we continue working at no additional cost until you achieve it. The guarantee applies to facilities with a minimum $10,000 monthly energy spend and no existing Building Management System. Most facilities exceed the 10% guarantee significantly, with typical reductions of 15-30% annually. The guarantee is in writing in every engagement agreement.

Building Performance Standards are city and state regulations that require commercial buildings to meet specific energy performance thresholds or face significant financial penalties. NYC Local Law 97, Boston BERDO, Denver Energize Denver, and California Title 24 are among the most active. Penalties can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for non-compliant buildings. Utility incentive programs include energy efficiency rebates, demand response programs, and grid services payments that can significantly offset the cost of energy improvements and monitoring services. As an approved aggregator for ConEd, SCE, and 10+ utility programs nationwide, Envigilance has direct relationships with the programs that pay your facility money. Eligibility depends on your utility territory, facility type, and energy profile. In some cases, incentive payments can offset a significant portion of your monitoring subscription cost. Our Energy Incentives service identifies every program your facility qualifies for and manages the application and capture process on your behalf.

ENERGY STAR Certification is the EPA's recognition for commercial buildings that perform in the top 25% of similar properties nationwide. Certified buildings command rental premiums of 3 to 7% in competitive markets, secure commercial mortgage rates 30 to 35 basis points lower than non-certified peers, and demonstrate sustainability credentials to institutional tenants, lenders, and investors. Certification also satisfies benchmarking and Building Performance Standards mandates in many jurisdictions. Our Certification service takes your building from zero engagement to EPA-certified in 12 weeks for an all-inclusive price from $9,500. Certification is guaranteed or we keep working.

For Energy Monitoring, sensors are deployed within 10 days and most facilities identify significant savings opportunities within the first 30 days of data collection. For Energy Incentives, we identify eligible programs within the first two weeks of engagement and begin the capture process immediately. For ENERGY STAR Certification, most buildings are certified within 12 weeks of engagement. For Buildings Compliance, we assess your current exposure and provide a compliance roadmap within the first week.
